Tire/ Rim Size Upgrade

Have 2016 RS LGX M6 and started tracking last year with Goodyear G force comp2 AS, GLoc R10s on the front and R8s on the back, stainless lines, and SRF fluid, and change all the fluids faithfully. I don't take myself too serious just want to enjoy track time. I know i will never push the car to it's limits but this year I want to upgrade from 245/40R20 square and am thinking I have two options, upgrade to Eagle F1 3R 255/40ZR20 square or I could get 18 or 19 rims and have more options for tire sizes. I do plan on changing the rear toe links in order to get a track alignment to help the car to turn better. I plan on 6-8 sessions this coming year. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The 3R is a terrific tire, but is really a track-only set up. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 is a good street/track tire. I would not put 3R on your only set of street wheels, so if you get a second set of rims you can go 18 or 19". This would also allow you to go wider.

Yeah, another vote for SC3. 3R is super sticky, but doesn’t last long at all. Save the $ for the brake upgrade.

I agree with the others on the SC3 recommendation.

I think I'd look for stock SS 1LE or ZL1 (non-1LE) wheels or aftermarket wheels of the same size (20x10 et20 and 20x11 et43). That way you can snag lightly used SC3 tires from people who take them off new cars. It's cheaper than buying new tires that way.
There is a guy selling two sets of really nice Finspeed wheels on the classified section here, and they would be perfect.
