LWD to RWD??

I just want to import my dream car. But I need to change from LWD to RWD to even register.

Point out some kits if you can and some tips as well.

I think you are asking about how to convert to right hand drive. I do not know of any DIY kits but I do remember reading about an Australian company that was taking new left hand drive Camaros and converting them to right hand drive.

Here are a couple of articles that might help with some information. This conversion does not look like a DIY project I would tackle.

Good luck!

Here is a thread about another company that does the conversion. It appears to be very labor intensive as it looks like they have to cut and re-weld the entire substructure of the dash along with numerous other modifications!

It's why these cars are so expensive in Australia. Not just swapping IPs. It's a huge tear up.

Not for the faint of heart even if you could find the parts.

Are all the Camaros sold worldwide in left-hand drive, regardless of the market? I know, for example, they do sell them in Japan, which is normally a right-hand drive region. Just wondering if it would be easier/cheaper to import the entire car from another country, if possible.

It would probably be easier to fix all the shortcomings on a right hand drive S550 Mustang.

Gurmandeep my friend, unless you are an expert at nearly everything automotive and have access to factory level tooling, your only realistic option is HSV in Australia or a direct purchase from someone who has one of these converted Camaros.

They had an entire factory floor and a large crew dedicated to this conversion (see the youtube build videos they posted), and obviously it is an expensive one. As far as I know, the are no longer offering the Camaro, but might have residual stock, so I'd contact them nevertheless.

Good luck

Somewhere on the internet there's a video of the conversion happening in Australia. Google is your friend.

I watched it some time ago. This is not a DYI project!

I was gonna mention that this was not a simple DiY, but then realized it would be a waste of time to explain if the person asking did not realize this was not a DiY project to begin with.

While Japan is indeed a RHD country, they accept sales of LHD cars for some reason. You can see LHD cars over there from time to time. So, Chevy never bothered to convert typically domestic cars to RHD. That is, until the Corvette C8
