Throw my some tire recommendations
I have a 2016 Camaro 2SS. I bought it used with only 16,000 miles on it but it had the tires replaced. They came with Nexens. Not the cheapest tires, but I need a better brand on this car.
So what are you all running? I want either Goodyear or Michelin summer performance tires since I live in Florida and don't have to worry about snow. I also don't want run flats. I'm pretty sure the dealer put these things on to save money. The guy who owned it before was an older guy, and based on his carfax he had all the oil changes and maintenance done on time and to the T on the car. I don't think he roasted the tires but being a 5 year old trade in they might have replaced the tires. |

They had to of replaced them at some point, stock would have still been the goodyear runflats.
Nitto 555 G2’s are still my go-to 275 front and 305 rear |

But I have had my go pro mounted on the exterior and during playback I never heard any sort of noise from them even with them currently haveing around 50-60% tread left. |

Continental Extreme Contact Sport or Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.
Edit: I am not ready for tires just yet as my 2SS currently has the factory GoodYear Run-On-Flat tires which have been surprisingly good. I bought the car used and while the fronts have about half the mileage remaining, the rears were almost brand new. But when I do get new tires, it will likely be the Continentals. Also, I will be going with 255/40-20's for the front and 285/35-20's for the rear (stock is 245/40-20 and 275/35/20). That will get me 0.4 inches more of tread width both front and back. Tire diameter is only increased 1% which won't affect the ABS systems or affect speedometer reading. Last edited by Spaceme1117; 06-26-2021 at 08:15 AM. |

Best wet tire out there and you pay for it. But still it's cheap insurance if you get stuck in a summer downpour and want to keep the car on the road above 50 mph. |

The PS4S is the latest and greatest, but the older MPSS is supposedly still available in your sizes. The MPSS was always an easy "go-to" choice for tracking your car at speed in the wet. Gratuitous video. 285/35 tires all around. Norm

I went with the Conti ECS for my last tire change (2k miles ago) as I wanted to move away from the GY runflats (which were darn good tires other than noise, ride and wet traction). The Conti's are better than the GY's for road noise, ride and traction and at least equal in all other respects. The only little niggle I have with the Conti's is that the initial turn in is not as crisp as the GY tires were. I'm going to experiment with tire pressure to see if it helps with turn in. I currently run at the recommended 35 psi cold which turns into 39-40 psi hot. I think a lower cold psi may help.
I went with the Conti's based on the high recommendations i found in my research and they were a better price than the Michelin 4S and the factory GY run flat.

(Also, since these are older tire models, I can't wait to see their true successors and the improvements they bring to the table.)

I would go with either the Michelin or Continental tires for your SS. Both are very good choices.
