M6 Shifter Shaking

I understand that some shaking is normal on these cars but could someone take a look at my videos and let me know if this is still consider normal? To me, it seems excessive. What do you guys think? Link to videos below. Video #2 shows how much movement there is.

seems to match the vibration of the road you are driving on. i hear your tires go over a bump and see it in the shifter. but i would defiantly get under and check the transmission cross-member or take it in for further exam. You dont want the tranny to drop out the bottom lol...

Thanks. That's what I think it just seems more excessive than what I have seen. I rather not take the car to a dealership unless totally necessary for warranty work. Anything I can do to make it less shaky?

Seems excessive to me but it might be the road conditions causing some of the vibration. I really never noticed my shifter while driving. I drove mine to work today so when I’m driving home this evening I will check it out.

What was the road condition? If the road was very rough I would say thats normal but if you had a smooth road and thats happening I would consider it to be a issue. Mine moves relative to the road conditions.

Definitely not normal in my m6. I would check the tranny mount. Has the mount been replaced.

If you're driving across cobblestone roads in PA, it's fine. If you're on a brand new length of buttery smooth pavement, it's not. Need more details to understand the total situation / context.

I usually have my hand on my shifter most of the time, so I can't say for sure it shakes similarly. But with the vibrations felt in my hand, I would suspect it is the same.

You should not rest your hand on the shifter while driving - it's bad for the internals of the transmission.

Normal for the ZLE.

Just keep in mind you don't have a single rubber bushing in the car. That's what GM means by NVH.
