Wheel Hub Bore and Vehicle Hub Bore
Have any of you had to use hub centering rings when you mounted your aftermarket wheels to your vehicle?
The center bore for the 2017 SS is 66.9mm and the wheels I'm looking at have a mounting hub of 72.6mm which means I'd need hub centering rings of 5.7mm. |

Centering rings are always a good idea as it helps prevent any vibration from the wheel "loping" due to not being centered on the hub.

Hubcentricty is not important except to make it easier when you mount the wheels (before you run the lug nuts on). Wheels do not use the center bores to locate on the hubs, ever...no matter what any advertisement tells you. They use the wheel studs and tapered lug nut seats - and only those - to locate the wheels. I wouldn't waste any time or money sweating hubcentric rings.
