Flex Fuel Kits
Hello everyone, I'm looking to mod my car and one of the mods was going to be an E85 kit, I'm getting all the mods from summit for now and was wondering if anyone has ran AFD-PFD-GMLT-1, if so, how is it in comparison to other kits?

They all use the same gm sensor. The hoses and fittings vary a bit in quality. The dsx is the nicest I've seen.

I've been a sucker for motion race works. They have a nice mount for the sensor that would not decrease any protentional flow issues for the guys with upgraded fuel pumps.
https://www.motionraceworks.com/prod...SABEgLppPD_BwE For the guys with oem fuel systems, running the regular sensor in line proves to be best choice. DSX seems to have a really nice kit

dumb question. once you have flex fuel kit install and car is retuned. is it possible to run on high octane if you can't make it for flex fuel and can you mix the 2 together when try to get back to flex fuel once you hit a station?

So you could have a half of a tank of 93 in the car and decide you want to top it off with E85. The ECM will adjust for the fuel/ethanol accordingly. If you wanted the entire tank to be E85, same logic applies.

The old thread then brings up the question- Has anyone running an E-85 mix for any length of time had any issues from fuel lines or fuel pumps that could be associated to their E-85 installation? So this DSX is the way to on kits?
Thanks! My '17 SS is 4yrs old now and while I don't have access to E-85 routinely, I wouldn't mind the occasional fill-up when I do (yes, I'm easily entertained). I'm guessing with this mod's popularity there haven't been wide spread problems. Am I wrong?

They don't put a flex fuel sensor on every vehicle because it's like a 1500.00 option that they charge for on the vehicles build order...so the answer is $. It's a bunch of shit too because a DI engine running E85 will still like have less carbon foot print then the Electric vehicles that GM is pushing to be switched over to by 2035.

What King said, I run both depending on the time of year. E85 (e65 to 70 here in Missouri) starting in March I'll run pump E all the way up till about November and then back to 93 octane again.
