Strut top bolts coming undone by themselves?
Is this a common problem/ has this happened to any of you? I went to get my oil changed after pulling my car from winter storage and the lube tech mentioned one of my strut bolts was gone. I got out and looked and sure enough the front most bolt on the passenger side was missing. The even crazier thing is I just added a throttle body about an month ago while it was in storage and the after picture I took has the bolt in place. This means that the bolt somehow worked its way free in under 100 miles of driving that I did yesterday. I should mention I'm the only one with access to the car so no one e else could've taken it off...

Not stripped, right? Make sure you double-triple check.
Most likely just did not get tightened, but you never know.

No threads looked great and a new bolt slotted in just fine. Must be a factory thing but it's weird that it managed to work itself all the way out in the last 100 miles and not the 3900 before. Kinda concerning if it wasn't just a one off thing....

I'll jokingly blame our shit Michigan roads.
Good to know, I'll check mine next time I'm under the hood. |

Just checked mine and they all were at least 16 ft-lbs via torque wrench. None of them budged, so nothing loosened up on mine.

Huh, hopefully this isn't a wide spread issue. guess people should add this to the list of things that GM may have screwed up and to check yourselves lol.

How many miles on your car? May be something to check further down the line that or they fixed the problem for 2021.
