Swapping TCMs ?

Hey guys, was curious if it would be possible for me and a friend who’s selling his Camaro To swap TCMs, and have the car run like normal ?
We both have 2017 1SS’s.
Mine is currently locked still. His has been unlocked and tuned.
Can we just swap TCMs and I’ll have his trans tune? And it’ll work like normal?
I remember reading that HP tuners codes your TCM to you VIN or maybe I’m wrong? Can anyone provide advice or feedback

No, needs to be flashed with your VIN. So you can’t just swap with a buddy.
