Snow/Ice mode
Doesn’t work with SC3s lol.
I had an appointment today to get an exhaust bung welded in and some baseline dyno runs. The main roads are clear but my subdivision streets are packed with snow and ice. It wasn’t pretty but I got it there. |

Yea, I would say ZL1 "does not equal" ice/snow!

Put the correct tires on any vehicle and it will handle the snow/ice with ease. Yes, you'll need to modulate the throttle a bit more but it will handle everything fine. I just would not do it and thank goodness I live in lower GA! The rain and muddy dirt roads are all I have to worry about.
Plenty of people have and are doing it with their ZL1's/Hellcats/etc. Snow/Ice mode really limits the throttle input and how it shifts (less aggressive). |

I use snow and ice mode on any wet road.

What does the snow and ice mode actually do?

I’ll have to play with it some time then.

With the M6 I didn’t really notice a difference. Once I got out of my I plowed neighborhood I was on clean surface and I continued the trip in Snow/Ice mode. Seemed like a normal drive after I got off the snow.
I’m sure it was doing something, it just wasn’t readily apparent. |

Only thing you'd notice would be the throttle delay. But that's hard to notice.

I think Snow/Ice Mode is a joke. Snow/Ice Mode just changes shift points and throttle mapping.
PTM Wet Mode is where it's at. I find it to be better in slippery conditions. It makes the traction/stability control system kick in a little sooner, as well as gives you the "track" (more linear) throttle mapping and a different E-diff. mode

Get out there in the snow on your summers. Everything will be fine (northeast here) lol.
