Ikon Motorsports Zl1 bumper conversion

Fam,

I need your help. I received some front bumper damage to my 2018 2SS. I purchased the ikon motorsports zl1 conversion kit w/fog lights. everything fits perfect. When i plugged the fog lights in to the harness, they flicker. I contacted Ikon and they said i need ballasts. i'm dumb and have no idea where to start on putting ballasts on nor what size, etc. I have looked on YouTube for a solution, i have looked on the internet for a solution and i am just as lost as i started. I thought i could use my stock fog light ballasts but they are different connectors, so that is out of the question.

Can you help me find a solution?

Hi BlkNight_18!,
just try a different way: try getting the feed for the new DRLs (they're not fog lights) by feeding them with a direct connection to the battery. You'll immediately notice that the flickering will disappear! Just connect the positive wire of both of them to fuse number 50 inside of the fusebox and get negative connected to a body/chassis part (a bolt?) for both of them. You will have no flickering and the DRLs will stay on just when the car engine is on.

At least, this was my personal experience having them mounted on a friend's car that had no factory DRLs as it was exported to Europe.

See you!!,

Were you able to solve this? Ikon support is truly the bottom of the barrel.
