I was so excited to go pick up my new 21 ZL1 1LE that I ordered in Wild Cherry Tintcoat.... Until we washed it realized it had been damaged before even getting to the Dealership. The car has 2 miles on it and has not be PDI'd. No dealership employee had even driven it yet.

What looks like sun spots on the passenger side are places where someone wet sanded the car... from front to back. The nose is shifted over to the driver side and is physically overlapping the driver side fender. The dark spot where the nose meets the fender is actually where the nose is creased on the passenger side. Depending on the angle of the light the more you see. Someone clearly damaged this prior to shipping it to the dealer and just sent it anyway which is super frustrating for how long I had to wait for this car. It's clearly been hit and damage continued down the entire side...

My new order was placed yesterday and they have allocation. I hope to see it before Christmas... but who knows.

I'm not seeing where the damage to the nose is in the other pics. Hard to tell on the close up where that is.

The sanding spots are from the factory. Those are spots where there was "trash" in the paint. They spot sand and buff it down to get rid of the imperfection in the paint. It can be polished out to look like the rest of the paint without much effort.

If you don't see any impact marks, I doubt the car was actually damaged. More than likely just poor effort while mating the bumper to the car. Do they have a body shop that can try and refit the bumper cover?

I leased a new ram 1500 knowing it had lot damage and the frame was actually bent , i didnt care l i got a great deal and its under warranty the entire time ill have it , but thats a pickup not a high performance car , luckily they are getting a new one

I agree and sorry it was that way when delivered to the dealer! Chevy should have better quality control than that and that color is something else!��

That blows. Fortunately, it’s minor and cosmetic. AND, you don’t have to take delivery. You can get another new one. They will get this fixed easy enough and it will sell like it was never even there. Now, that color in the sun! Really pops!

yup,best to wait for another one.i couldnt be happy making payments on a new damaged car,even if the dealer could fix it to my satisfaction i would always wonder what else was wrong.

Good eye on seeing the damage, also not taking it and instead placing new allocation for another Zl1, did you order any new item's then initial order?

This one was ordered with every option. MSRP $78,520 so I just ordered the exact same car. Dealership has been awesome. They sell a lot of ZL1's. It's North Bend Chevrolet in North Bend Washington. Really awesome people. My 2nd car from them.
