Need Some Opinions on Exhaust
I used to have a '15 1lt RS with the V6 engine. I had installed a Flowmaster American Thunder axle back. I spent most of time driving at highway speeds and this setup would scramble my brains. It would literally give me a headache within 30 minutes of driving. That was the only modification I made to the exhaust. I now have an '18 1lt RS with the V6 and I want to upgrade the exhaust but I don't want my brains scrambled again. Will the new flowmaster american thunder setup do this to me? I know they are tuned resonators instead of the super 44's. Or do you have a better suggestion?

I am leaning towards this exhaust. I've watched many videos and I like the sound but most videos are outside of the car. I haven't really found one from inside of the car. I know the sound was painful in my other car so I'm a little skittish this time around.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised with this exhaust. In my opinion it sounds as good as Borla, but obviously priced much better

I have the Flowmaster American Thunder Axel-Back. No headaches, no drone, and a nice rumble. I drive 35 minutes each way to work, mostly freeway but also through the city, and it makes a great sound. If you shop around like I did, you can get it for around $500. Borla Atak is about $800 right now, and to be honest I doubt it would sound any better. Why spend the extra $300 if you don't have to.
The cold startup for me is 94 decibels (measured). I have not measured it with the throttle fully opened but its much louder than 94 db. It's definitely an improvement over the stock, plus it's lighter. You can find it on my build thread. Should be halfway on page 2 https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=575560

Anyone know if this fits the convertible? I know there's extra bracing that takes up space in that area, but haven't seen anything specifically saying it does or doesn't fit.

According to Flowmaster's instruction sheet (see below) it works for both the hard top and convertible without dual mode exhaust. https://documents.holley.com/817743_instructions.pdf
