Which tire does everyone like better?
I'm going to be upgrading my tires to 305/30 in the back and 275/35 in the front. I'm looking at ExtremeContact or NittoNT555. I've seen a few people on here say they like the Nittos but ive never used them. Im wondering is the extra $70 a tire that much better than the Nittos. Ive used the ExtremeContacts before on my Vette and loved them, I don't want to change to Nitto and be extremely disappointed. And are there any better tires out here around the same price range?

I have had a few sets of the 555 and now even the 555g2 and they are great tires as long as you dont plan on putting any power down. Great in the rain, and nice and quiet with great tread life. But definitely lacking in the straight line traction dept. Maybe go with the 555R or 555R2 if you are worried about really sticking, but the contis as you seem to know are a great tire. I had 555 and the conti on the exact same TBSS few years back and night and day difference with dry traction

I've had NT555's in two previous cars and have never been disappointed. Excellent grip in the dry and not bad in the rain too. I should also note that both of those cars were lower HP cars though. Sub 250 whp.

No I don't want to drag at the track, I actually drive it around town whenever the weather isn't complete crap. So I'm getting tires to daily my car.

I have the Conti ECS Sports and I would recommend them though I will say that too me on my 1LE I think the sidewalls are soft or have too much flex, the fronts feel like they roll over before they bite or there's a split second of hesitation on aggressive turn-in (not track). I've been playing with increased air pressure. Great tire...quiet, wearing nicely, smooth ride, otherwise feels like great grip.

+1 on the comments above. I put the same tires on, braking and handling felt mushy. I've gone back to the stock run-flats. The stiffer sidewalls make a world of difference.
I've had A/S run-flats on BMW's and they were great but I don't think anyone makes them for our cars.
