intermidiate shaft help

so im installing my 2" long tubes and i removed the intermidiate steering shaft so i could get the drivers side in, i slid it out but now to put it back on it seems to be too short and i cant pull it to make it bolt on any help?

Pull harder and give it time. It moves slowly.
