NT555RII for daily driving ?

So im considering buying a set of NT555Rs for the set of replica 1le wheels ive ordered. Are these a good set of tires for daily driving and maybe the occasional track day? Or should i just go with a set of G2s and call it a day? I only drive the car on the weekends as its not my daily driving car. Im also looking at a set of Continental extreme contact sport if anyone has experience with these tires i would like to here your opinion on them.

Those are a little gnarly for street but will be fine...HOWEVER, if you get caught in a rain storm be careful....

I DD the 555Rs (June-Oct). All Seasons the rest of the time. I hated the G2s. My all seasons seems to hook better.

The new 555r II have much improved rain performance.

Agree on the G2's. They are fine for a front runner but are shit for traction on the rear.

Yeah I had the Nitto NT05 which is supposed to be their top, highest dry traction/high teadwear tire before you get into the drag radials. The NT05s would spin all the way through 1st hear and sometimes into second. I also didn't even get 10k from the rear set before it hit the wear bars. I consider these the worst performing tire I've had. I got 30-40k from my michelin PS4S and they would hold some of first gear sometimes. Although I feel tire life is a extremely and subjective variable that is not easily compared.

Anyway I still have the NT05s on the front and got a new set of NT555R2 in the stock size for the back and the traction going from a "street" tire to a "R" tire is very substantial. I can now get traction and not waste power going to the ground in first gear. Sometimes in certain conditions (sometimes randomly) especially when the sun shines on hot pavement, I can get close to dead hooking from first from a dead stop. Sometimes it will spin a little but once the torque converter couples it will usually recover.

I went from a best of 3.8 0 to 60 on the timer, to a 3.5.

I think I've got 1000 miles on them now and from just holding a penny up to the tread from when they were new I can't notice a difference in the wear yet, so hopefully that's a good sign.
