Dyno Pull

Just did a pull on a 19 ZL1 M6. Tuned upper pully and Cold air intake. Car was purchased with these mods so I was curious what it was running. Do these numbers seems good? What would a fully stock version be around? Any input is appreciated

Looks decent

Would help if boost numbers were displayed as well, how much boost do you think you're running?

That I have no idea of. He said if I were to tune it he would be able to give me all that info. This was just a run to see what it was pushing at the wheels. Cost me $70. Not sure if thats going rate.

I made 585hp and 606lft on a dyno get all stock. I'd say looking at your torque numbers something is not quite right.

It might be on the low side but it depends on the tune. Example, my first round of mods were 9.1 lower pulley, kooks 2” catless headers, and rotofab. It made 585/625 on a dyno jet And tuned by someone who didn’t know these motors very well. Then I took it to Houston and strapped it to a Mustang dyno and it was 560/620 baseline. Then MS tuning did a tune and it made 612/648. Ran much smoother as well.

Check the tune.

It’s possible. I have no idea who did the tune as it was done by the previous owner. The shop that ran this dyno mentioned that my fuel to air ratio was great. So that’s a plus. I think. Maybe the previous owner wanted to keep torque down? I know my wheels are spinning like crazy at the drag strip. Stock Goodyear’s. Next purchase will probably be upgraded tires. Then I was thinking about getting some headers done. Possibly an E85 tune as well.

The numbers would be more meaningful if they were shown using the SAE method, which most dyno charts display. Ask them for the chart showing SAE, which will be a bit lower, but more comparative to others.

The torque is a little low on this dyno, but dyno numbers are not the final word. Your numbers could be significantly different on another dyno on another day. If your car is running well on the street, that is the ultimate yardstick. Enjoy!

Personally there is no way to compare that dyno to another dyno or other peoples dyno #s, don't use this thread as a measure.

My local mustang dyno comes in around 500-520 for LT4 cars while a members comment above made 550 on TBD type. Your's is making ~ 600. I would say on my local mustang dyno that would be ~540-550 after doing enough dynojet comparisons to it. Makes sense that you would be 20-30 whp up but again, who knows!

The AFR looks safe/smooth. The graph has a lot of smoothing turned on so it is hard to figure out how good the tune really is.

If it drives well and doesn't have any soft spots in power delivery during part throttle driving (places where maybe they didn't do a good job in adjusting predicted torque and it is pulling timing) you are good.

The underdrive pulleys increase boost to ~12-14 psi?

That looks about right. Most stock ZL1s are around 540-560 on our dyno.
