First time at the drag strip.
These good results or do I have a lot of work ahead of me. This was my best run on the day. M6 has upper pully and cold air intake.

Well, assuming since you circled (right) on the slip that you were on the right? You have a good bit of ways to go.
This is good news. This means your car is a whole lot faster than that and the only thing you need to work on is the driver. We have all been there and some of us are still there “me included.” lol! |

Yeah that 2.4 60 foot time is a killer. Work on getting that launch down. My advice with these cars is less is more. You can spin them very easy so come out a little easier and gradually get to full throttle. Start slow and every pass try a little more throttle until you find it.

86mph with those mods would make me drive the car off the track and into the nearest wall.

I’m sure the stock tires would hold up to about 15-20 passes in the 1/4 mile. Drop tire pressure to about 24. Do a small burnout like 1-2 seconds just to clean them off. Leave soft and find that sweet spot as to when you can go WOT. Get your 60’ into the 1.80s on stock tires and you’ll be mid 11s with good shifting. |

If you really want to drag race buy an A8 or at least a set of drag radials. Either the MT SS or the Nitto 555R2's which I just purchased for my Vet and man they really hook and you can drive either to the track and make some passes then drive it home.

Ease into the throttle a bit slower and lower the air pressure in the rears to 20-22psi. Don't drive through the water box if you don't do a burnout. Go around the water box and do a "quick clean". Line your tire tracks to the groove and don't shock the car on the launch. Be smooth and fast.

Vet, as in vette, as in Corvette!?! Is there something you're not telling us, Greg?

I joked, but that low mph should be more concerning no? Aren't stock M6's trapping around 100mph in the 1/8? This car is basically performing like a stock SS (or worse, it's trapping less than my old golf R). I don't think the driver can mess up 1-2 shifts enough to impact the mph that much.
With a pulley, intake (and I am assuming a tune) I would expect a much higher trap speed. |

For comparison, yes the OP's ZL1 M6 mph is low. Here is bone stock street tire pass in my SS M6.
60ft: 1.98 1/8 et: 7.982 1/8 mph: 91.30 1/4 et: 12.21 1/4 mph: 116.80

Exactly what I was getting at. That MPH tells me there might be something wrong with the car like air in the SC coolers? I'm not too sure what it could be, but 86mph is way too low for there not to be an issue.
