I just sent this email to roto-fab, but wanted to see if anyone else had experienced any of this. Not sure if it’s normal.

“I recently installed the Roto-Fab dry filter air intake system in my 2019 Camaro SS. I had a few question/concerns and wanted to see if they could be answered.

1. I noticed after install that the hood sits very slightly higher than before on the driver side where the intake is installed. Is this normal or is there a way to help it sit flush with the fender like before? I checked the rubber gasket going around the filter box and ensured it is fully seated on the box.

2. I went through the car wash today. Afterwards, I noticed a small amount of water sitting in the bottom of the box where it connects to the factory air tube that runs to the front of the car. When I opened the hood after the car wash, I also noticed the rubber strip/seal on the air box had a small amount of water on it as well, closest to the fender, but I assume that just means it’s doing it’s job because I didn’t notice any water had got into the box from the entry point. Is it normal for some water to get in through that air tube connection at the bottom of the box?

With the water in the box, the car wash I go through has very powerful water spraying the front of the car straight on. So wonder if that’s what causes the small amount of water sitting in the bottom of the box.

Is the box sitting flush in the 3 mounting points?
If anything, sounds like you should be getting a very good seal at the hood if it's slightly higher.
I pressure wash my car, but I don't spray directly into the grill either.

I have the same problem. I removed the stud they have going into the grommet nearest the strut tower ans replaced with a nut and bolt. That brought the box down slightly more, but the hood is still slightly raised. My next option is to take my air nibbler and remove a small amount of metal material from beneath the rubber seal. I have already mounted my catch can to it, so I cannot return it.

Mine was the same way...I just removed the rubber seal and the hood sits flush like it's suppose to. I was going to trim the top of the RF box and reinstall the rubber seal but the box still pushes up against the hood liner so I didn't mess with it. Never noticed a difference in IAT, MAF, or MAP kpa readings either way.
