Reduced engine power

Has anyone experienced a "Reduced Engine Power", "Engine Over Rev Protection" or anything similar which limits RPM and/or reduces power in a Road Racing situation? I'm running an '18 1LE with a built 416" LT1 530 rwhp,
this happens often enough to be maddening, ruining great laps, it can happen on an upshift or while running to a corner (no up or downshift). MRC is set is Race mode-Sport 1 with a typical shift is 6200 rpm with limiter of 6800 rpm, using Toyo RR's (285/305/30R20). I don't think it's Stabilitrac or T/C related.
It's likely tune oriented so any help is appreciated.
