Have you ever changed Borla Exhaust tips?

I currently have the carbon fiber Borla exhaust tips, but was looking to swap them out for ceramic black ones. Unfortunately Borla doesn't sell these tips by themselves, and it's tough to find aftermarket tips that fit. Has anyone ever changed their Borla exhaust tips?

They're welded stainless, I'm not sure you're changing them without cutting them off and Welding something new on.

Yep, when I had Borla. Had to cut the old ones off and weld some new ones on.

I was looking at the carbon fiber tips for an axle back swap. Are you have issues with the CF tips?

No issues with the carbon fiber tips, they've held up well over a couple years. However i never liked the laser engraved "Borla" in red and yellow on the top, that doesn't match the carbon. Which is why i was looking to switch to black

Do you still have the old tips?

I'm glad I went with ceramic black instead of the CF ones. Was really leaning toward CF but my parts guy talked me out of it.

Maybe i looked too quickly, but i saw 4 screws which is why i assumed they would come off without cutting

Do you have this system? This is what I had and I had to cut them off and weld new ones on. Those screws on the actual tip may work to remove the CF, but to find another to slide over the inner pipe might be tough.

Yes, but I have the dual tips, not the quad. I'll have to take a closer look to see if they'll actually come off

The Carbon tips are just sleeves, basically for looks. They slide over and are screwed to welded flanges on the pipes. IIRC.
