HP Tuners - Picked up a stock LT4 TB what needs to be tuned?

Title is kind of vague but heres the deal. I wanted to go with a ported tb with a controller and was told the controller was a waste since I have HP Tuners and can do the same thing. Problem is with a controller I turn one knob with HP Tuners I am overwhelmed plethora of changes. With a tvs2300 and a stock Lt4 tb for now. What should I look for in HP Tuners and change. Once I know where to go I can play in that area of the soft until I am happy. Appreciate any guidance. I hope you all are being Safe and Sane!!!

There is nothing to calibrate for the LT4 throttle body...it's the same as the LT1. Far as throttle response tuning. That is going to require a lot more effort then changing a couple settings. Driver Demand table calibration will be needed to get better throttle response. Pretty sure a throttle controller hacks the driver demand so the torque request increases at a lower throttle position percentage.

There are some good videos out there for DD-table. I'd look into those for some ideas or things to consider. You can easily screw stuff up in that table if you don't know what you're doing.

I fully agree. Thank you for the insight. After spending what I did on my tune alone I am not looking to mess it all up. Obviously I already backed it up and can go back to Where I was. I just think this is a good introduction to tuning. Start with little things and understand the tables. Hell I have a laptop dedicated just to the cars and can save as many files as I like. Plus the drive/shakedown after the tune is the best part.
