18” wheel for ZLE
So I have an opportunity to purchase some racing slicks from a local racing team for a reasonable price, problem is they are 305/35-18. I am not sure I can find a wheel to fit over the breaks that are 18”. Has anyone done this on a ZLE?
Thanks |

You can get 18's that clear the brakes. They have to be specific ones and for that we'll have to wait for members to chime in. But it can be done.

I have seen a ZLE running 18 inch slicks on a local track here. Apex wheels do sell wheels that fit. For the 305 slicks I guess you will need 11 inch wide wheels. Brake clearance between caliper and wheel will be very tight and personally I did not like the looks, but who cares how it looks if it is fast.

BC Forged 18's in factory offset work well.
Will be very tight clearance to OEM calipers, easy fit with AP Racing Brakes!

I have 18's in factory offsets etc. Clearance is VERY tight with factory calipers.

BC Forged 18X12 +41 Rears / 18X11 +11Fronts = factory offsets and that is what I ordered for my first set.
Just bought a second set all the same except +6 fronts. Gives 5mm more clearance to the struts on the front. Never hit the struts with the +11s....but it's really close. The owner of the second set ordered them at +6mm as an abundance of caution. The BC's are great track wheels. I think Sean's are similar?

Yep....AP Racing is definitely Brake Porn...
![]() They are amazing brakes. Knock your teeth out stopping power with no fade even at RoadAmerica and three long fast straights... Highly recommend them if you find yourself cooking the factory Brembos (which are fantastic OEM brakes.....but the calipers can become massive heat sinks and fade at times). My experience at least...
