ZL1 6.2 Headers upgrade?
Ive got a ZL1 1LE stock other than soler performance TB and drop-in KN filters for my 2017 (stock 650 hp).
Where do I go next? I am concidering a tune and new headers. What do you think? How many catalytic converters do the lt4 have? What would this add? https://www.rdpstore.com/p-11156-koo...16-camaro.aspx |

The ZL1 has four catalytic converters and if you go with a set of long tubes all four are removed. They make solid power especially once the car is tuned. I'd also grab a Rotofab intake. When you're ready we'll get you the best price on both.

Depends on how you intend to use your ZLE. If you are going to drive it on the street, I’d invest in a better street tire like the Michelin PS4s and save your stock tires in case you become involved in track events. If you are just after sound, adding a cat or axel back exhaust system is an option. Just remember, adding long tubes will impact your warranty because it will require a tune. If you live in a state which requires an emission inspection, removing your primary cats will likely cause you to fail. Not saying don’t do LTs and a tune, but just know the consequences of your decision. These cars are seriously fast just plain ol’ stock.

I do track the Car and run r888.
Looking to Gain hp and sound. But headers with one set of cats (instead of 2) should pass emissions? Will the ECU/ computer tell if i remove the tune ahead of leaving it at the dealer? If there are any issues that is. |

If you are driving the car on track, leave it standard (warranty).
I am personally very happy with my setup: Roto-fab, 103mm throttle body, Kong ported blower, Kooks 2 inch headers, flex fuel, TCM (auto) and EMS tune. Goes really very well, lots faster than standard. |

Assume you know this but in case you don't... if you're circuit tracking the car, the ZLE stock GY SCF13R tires are the best track tire for the car, except perhaps new Hoosiers. R888R are a significant downgrade in terms of overall grip and sustained performance throughout a 20 minute session, but I assume the R888R are your street tires--they're good for that. |

If you get headers and a tune your drivetrain warranty is gone. Plain and simple!
