Another boring appearance mod

I hated the rear lower reflectors and swapped them with the clear/dark units. Direct swap one phillips head screw holding them in place. They are a PITA access but doable on my car. I can see how manufacturer variances could be significant here and some cars it may be impossible without clearancing the aluminum support. My passenger side reflector was far easier to access than the driver's side. Hero unit for $30 through Phastek.

Neither...just reflectors. And I agree, these suckers were a PITA. It's one thing to unscrew the one screw to get them off...but to get it back in is a friking hassle. I wouldn't be surprised if some went ahead and used 3M dbl sided tape.

I have them also. Subtle changes like these, and my Oracle ghosted side markers and blacked out tail and brake lights really improve the appearance of the car.

I've had these in my shopping cart for a while. Haven't been under the diffuser to see what kind of a pain it would be. Looks good Stephen!

I did mine a couple months ago as well, LOVE them, hated the red back there with everything else smoked out... They are a PITA to get to, but doable with a little patience, took about 20 minutes total or so...

Sorry for butting into a ZL1 discussion, but just in case others might be doing also, these are an insane PITA to replace on the pre-refresh SS, the rear cross member gives almost zero clearance to access the screw. I will be honest and make no secret about asking the service guys at the dealership to put them on, because they have a lift and better tools than mine.

Once they're on, however, they look a thousand times better on my garnet red car than the originals. Not legal in most states, btw, same deal as smoked side markers.
