anyone have issues with Gen5diy eyebrow harness?
I purchased this harness in dimming version last year but since i had some free time now i decided to install it. While it does work in that the eyebrow stays on while turn signal is on the issue i have is my bumper mounted LEDs no longer work unless the headlights or parking lights are on and then they only come on dimmed. this "feature" was not in the description.
Did i get a bad harness? I have emailed Gen5 but just wanted to test the water here for experience thanks. Frank |

Ask Matt on his youtube channel(lethal garage) . He works or used to work at gen5diy. He has a video installing this harness. He's also a member here. I believe his name here is lethal camaro.

They stand by their work, but I did have issues when I used them for a 5th gen headlight harness. Eventually I sent everything back for a refund in my case.

I used the harness on both my old 2017 Krypton green and my current 2018 Hot wheels. Both work like a charm with no issues

Ok we got it figured out,
First off you have to have the automatic light control on the car has to be out of park (if automatic) and parking brake released (if manual trans.) the car has to be outdoors so the light sensor can sense. then the bumper LEDs come on bright with the eyebrows (the eyebrows are getting their power from a different source now so they are on anytime the car is running) it would have been nice if these particulars were somewhere in some written instructions but as of right now everything is working as it should and the eyebrows are staying on as i wanted. just happy i dont have to pull the front end off again :-) |
