Stock throttle body size

Anyone have any idea what size the stock tb is? Im going to be getting an msd intake soon, and trying to decide what route I want to take with the tb. Debating if i want to port the stocker or upgrade it.

87 right, when I did mine only 103mm was available. But now you can get a 95mm too, I also have a Katch ported stocker which I think they call 90mm equivalent. Pray does a good port job IMO. I'd go 95mm now since it is vogue.

Yes I was thinking the 95 because I can get it for 250 where as the 103 is 650.

Be aware that the stock LT5 throttle body will not fit on the stock LT1 manifold. WeaponX sells an adapter plate or Tick Perf sells a modified TB.

If you do get an adapter plate, get it from soler performance imo. They are the only ones that smooths the transition from tb to manifold. I think it's free if you buy the tb from them, not positive though. If not, I have a weapon x adapter plate for sale hahaha.

Hi, Zboy136.

Please, check our 95mm TB's they come with an Adapter Kit specifically designed for the MSD manifold, it will need it as the MSD screw hole pattern was made to receive the stock 87mm TB.

Not all TB's and Adapters are the same, nor they perform the same, pay attention to the little details and you'll see what I mean. Don't hesitate to call shall you have any questions.

Thanks,

I went with the Soler modified 95mm TB. It looks and works great.. They also throw in an adapter to fit the stock or a different adapter for the MSD.
