One guy here tried it and has had difficulty dialing it in for the Camaro platform. It is not calibrated very well out of the box. Fairly clunky interface to dial in changes as well. Corvette guys seem to love it.

THIS!!!

It gets rave reviews on the Porsche and Corvette forums, but has been proven to be not well calibrated for the Gen. 6 Alpha platform Out of the Box.

If you have an advanced degree in suspension/shock tuning and have the time and patience to spend to dial all areas with a shock dyno, then it might be for you.

GM did a great job on the Gen. 6 Camaro tuning the MRC shocks, don't fix what ain't broke.

+1 this.

Totally makes sense to the Corvette folks, but is a waste of coin on the Camaro.

The excellent Alpha chassis was GM's salvation from the botch job they did on the C7's rear end.

Yeah, that sad thing though is that the rear-end of the Vette can be tamed. Although I didn't have a C7, I had both a C5 & C6 Z06 and both benefited greatly from aftermarket shocks. For the C5, it was the Bilsteins that made all the difference, for the C6, it was the DRM tuned Bilsteins.

Not sure why GM couldn't have figured that out.

Obviously the Camaro engineers are different than the Corvette engineers.

Granted the Alpha chassis is a better starting point than the transverse leaf spring design of the Corvette, but with some effort, they could have done a better job on the Corvette.

Agreed!

Mono leaf rear suspension on a C7 make as much sense as PS4s on a ZLE.

When I first got my first C5 Z06 (a looooong time ago) I remember reading an article that stated that the Corvette team was bragging about using the leaf set up and something about it being on the F1 cars at the time.

Race suspensions rarely work well in the real world though, where you are driving on un-prepped, ill maintained public roads.

Good observation and great point. Fortunately as Gunkk pointed out, they got it right on the 6th Gen. Camaro.

Still,(don't get me wrong, I am a huge Corvette fan) the rear suspension on C5/6/7s can get pretty dang sketchy/unpredictable on exit.

I am excited to see that the issue has been addressed. I'm looking forward to an opportunity to get behind the wheel of a C8 variant when the are released in a few years.

I digress, sorry OP for drifting off topic.
