Thoughts on Soler LT5/ZR1 TB on LT4?
Since Mike has the adaptor for the LT4 to LT5 Soler TB do you think it’ll need tuned? I know his LT4 one is 87mm (91mm EFF) which I’ve looked into but I’d the LT5 95mm (100mm EFF) one will work without a tune I’d prefer that incase down the road I do want to further mod and tune the car. Thoughts? I’ve also checked with Mike just awaiting a reply

The increase in airflow will be more than what the stock tune can adjust for. Porting the stock 87 TB increases air just enough for the computer to adjust to. The 95tb and one that’s been ported will have a significant air flow increase, and I’d bet an even bigger improvement with the new adapters as they flow. Wouldn’t doubt that a Soler 95tb with an adapter for ported SC would not make as much gains as a 103TB.

Don't you have to port the blower as well to get the full benefit of that bigger TB?

So Mike just got back to me and said “ Hi, well we have several customers that are using it w/o tuning on LT1's and since the LT4's are calibrated closer to an LT5 that gives it an even better chance.“

A larger throttle body like that will need to be scaled in the computer. If not the car will run and idle like crap

I like Mike and Soler as a company but you will need a tune for the 95mm TB on the LT4. Been proven more than once. I have heard of SS running it with no tune but the calibration for a NA car is much different than a Supercharged car. So i guess that is possible. But for us with the ZL1 and Z06 you will need a tune.

Right, we specify on our site that it needs calibration for LT1/LT4, that is the answer for 100% certainty of optimum performance and no CEL's.
We understand you are trying to avoid having to buy two TB's and plan on tuning down the road, and we know there is a chance that it will work, not optimum yet advantageous, w/o a tune. What we are doing is offering you a chance to try it, if it doesn't work there is always the "undo" button when dealing with us, and we'll go from there.
