Back left Tire skid/noise during no lift shift

Hey guys.. Was at the track a bit ago and I used no lift shift from 2nd to 3rd on the straight.. I have 2019 SS 1LE. Back left tire made a weird skid/wobble noise and the car slowed down a bit.. What could have happened? I noticed after that track day the suspension hasn't quite seemed the same, at full throttle the chassis/back end seems to sway rhythmically left/right when going straight, which seems dangerous @high speeds, and my wheel is offset left slightly at rest. Car doesn't seem to pull one way or the other just going straight. Thanks.

My guess is NLS didn't work properly and the shock broke a rear end mount, trans mount or suspension mount. I'd take it to the dealer, they'll probably cover it.

I have an apt on Monday, not sure what to tell them though? When I called and made the appointment the guy made it seem like tracking my car wasn't covered for warranty.

Haha Im an honest person and I was under the impression that if I buy a car with a "track package" it would be covered under warranty at said track. Lol

Track driving is always a gray area when it comes to warranty or insurance.

You can inform the dealership that track days are covered under warranty on our cars if you didn't modify the car referencing this article and others: https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-car...-to-the-track/

That's a cute article and may work for the OP, but not so much for the guys blowing side airbags at the track or autocross due to suspect sensor calibration. GM's response has been

I wouldn’t say I was at the track but I remember hearing that you can take your Camaro to the track every weekend and as long as you don’t tune it they’ll cover it if anything breaks.

You should have just said I was driving to work and all of the sudden the back end started feeling funny. You just gave them ammo to try a start something to void your warranty if its that kind of dealership they are.
Honesty is NOT the best policy in this case. Lets see how honest the dealership is should be your policy.

Funny how everyone's so quick when it comes to judging shady dealership tactics, but when the ball is in their court, they "drove their grandma to church" etc.

Notwithstanding that, I remember an article quoting Al Oppenheiser, who specifically said about the 1LE that track use is still covered as long as the car is unmodified and not tuned.

The car is covered but the damage done seems to be user error (sorry), similar to a money shift, so IDK, it's a tough one.

Personally, I'm not sure I'm ever going to try NLS, I can't get over the strangeness of it. I can shift pretty fast doing it normally.

I use NLS a lot on long straights without out any issues. Goes something like this:
