Front Tires Cupping? 40K Spirited Driving w/no Track Time
I tried to search the forums with no relevant results. Long story short, my 18 SS 1LE has front tires cupping issues. My warranty has recently expired. I downgraded the stock tires with a more daily driven set Nitto NT555 G2 set of tires all around.
Has anyone else faced this problem? If so, where is the disconnect? |

How is your alignment? From previous experience, cupping is usually an alignment issue (which could be made worse by the construction of the tire).

Besides cupping let me tell you that my car's alignment was real bad toed out from the factory, I can't imagine it went out as much as it did in 18 months/17K miles. When I had the SC3 pulled off and swapped on my A/S tires the fronts were heavily worn on the outer edge. They put it on the rack and go it sorted out but the F and R toe was way past spec. Point is don't assume your new car was aligned at the factory.
