Anyone have an18+ ZL1 running 19's (thinking 275/35R19 and 295/35R19) on 19x10, 19x11

Just curious if anyone has downsized to 19x10 front wheels with 275/35R19 tires and 19x11 rears with 295/35R19 tires.

Looking to drop some weight off the wheels and such and get a bit more sidewall. Car is not tracked, street only. Tire height is within 0.1" on both setups but not sure on caliper and strut clearance is all.

A nice light set of 19" forged wheels with some Michelin Pilot Sport 4S (or Cup 2) tires would drop almost 50lbs off the wheel/tire package which is very tempting.

Lots of guys have done a 19” set up, but you’d be better off going wider than what you have on all 4 corners

Fair enough. I dont want to use spacers but otherwise I'm game for as wide as will reasonably fit without rubbing and having to trim tabs on struts/etc. Is there a common setup for 19's that fits well? The 1LE specs seem a bit too wide with our front struts from reviews I've done, without spacers at least.

The clearance to the front strut on 19s has a lot to do with your camber. If you have the stock camber, you'll have no issues on 19x10 ET22 or so like most of your options would have. When you set to the performance handout or more, you'll need a 3-5mm spacer (longer lugs not required). Your idea will work if that's the case.

That said, be warned using the 295/35/19 PS4S. It's a Merc OE spec and may not be the same to normal construction/compound of the standard spec. PS4S is my favorite street tire in the normal spec.

Great info, thanks! I intend to use the normal/stock camber and alignment at all times. I will double check on the tire options for sure, but on stock camber then I would expect to be able to use 19x10 ET22 fronts and what is the offset for the rears at 19x11 to avoid clearance issues?

Found this info. It is saying the following options (slightly different offsets) for ZL1 use. Can you confirm?

https://support.apexraceparts.com/hc...-Fitment-Guide

Option 1:

Front: 19x10” ET20 with 285/35-19 tires
Rear: 19x11” ET43 with 305/30-19 tires

This fitment produced with Camaro-specific center bore. No hubcentric rings required. Available mid 2019.

Direct fit
Can also use 275/35-19 up front
Can also use 325/30-19 in the rear

Option 2:

Front: 19x11” ET11 with 305/30-19 tires
Rear: 19x12” ET41 with 325/30-19 tires

This fitment produced with Camaro-specific center bore. No hubcentric rings required. Available mid 2019.

Direct fit with the wider ZL1 front fenders with stock alignment, however since the ZL1 is equipped with the bulkier MRC suspension, it is important to note that if you dial in camber at the spindle, you will have inner strut clearance issues up front. 5mm spacers would be necessary. If you dial in camber with adjustable camber plates, no spacers required.
