ZL1 addons

I just got my 2019 zl1 and I got some zl1 addons to facilitate jacking the car but something I'm not sure of, the slot in the addons where the weld fit into is deeper than the weld so when jacking, the whole pressure is on the floor on each side of the weld and none on the weld itself, is that the way it's suppose to be.

I bought them but have not used them yet. I was thinking on leaving them on all the time, but my luck I would lose one.

I have had mine on for two years and 11K miles and had no issue with one or more coming off. I check the set screws from time to time but they are never loose.

Had mine for 4K miles and used them several times with no issues. I do check if they are loose every time tho. I’ve only retorqued once after driving the car about 10 miles with them on just to be safe.

According to ZL1 Addons it is supposed to contact the weld itself, not the floor on either side. Are you sure you have the right ones? I realize this is for the jackpad, but regardless it looks like it should sit on the pinch weld itself.

Mine have been on since day 1 , April of 2018.

I did put a little dab of blue loctite on the set screws and have not had to tighten them or touch them. Hope that helps.

I just use the magnetic one with puck.

It lifts both front and rear tires at the same time.
