Rotofab CAI vs Soler TB
Got a little extra cash to spend, deciding between a CAI and a TB. Which mod will give me better bang for buck and improve driving more?

I'd probably go with the TB first. The improved driveability would be worthwhile.

With the CAI you won't feel it on the butt dyno unless if it's super sensitive. The TB, if it works as advertised, would give the better driving experience on a day to day bases. It's supposed to help with the throttle delay and provided a better experience. I'm a bit skeptical on it since back in my G35 days people use to use the battery disconnect procedure often to breath new life to the ECU as it relearns. It always feels like a new car after a disconnect like that. |

Go Soler. Those of us who have it are really enjoying the experience. It won't be long before Pray and the others play catch up with their TB porting.

Pray has been porting these for almost 3 years and the LS2 for a decade, I have never heard of Soler?? not saying either way about him. Just saying Pray did my first build including the heads / tune / supercharger and I was completely happy.

Pray and others have all been porting for awhile now. Soler took the porting to the 0-33% range where it was needed. They can also add their porting to Pray and all the other guys port jobs and make them better. Several people have had that done and notice the difference. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the other port jobs. They have their pros as well. Some people will stick with what they are used to. Not everyone likes change. LOL |

Looks great, but IMO at some point the low hanging fruit is picked and we end up talking about how many angels can really dance on a pin head. At $275 for the Sloer, at what point it is better just to go to a 95mm? or a 95mm ported, or a $550 Pray ported IM and TB? Gut feeling the last option is the biggest bang for the dollar. Admittedly the Soler looks great..... funny there are options to upgrade many vendor's TB (not Prays).... hmm.

Can’t argue the part looks amazing and is a good value for what u get. It’s about what the hand ported ones are going for

Go with the Soler TB first, since you won’t really notice a difference with the CAI. That Soler piece is a night and day difference though!
