P10E4 trouble code

So guys, ran into my first issue with the car. Check engine came on upon start up, and doesnt go away unless I clear it. Tried checking google as well as ProDemand, it doesnt come up as anything for GM vehicles. Anyone ran into this code? If so what was the solution?

This is kind of an obscure DTC. A lot of stuff on the internet related to valvetronic systems, which we don't have.
As far as GM/Chevy, I did find this:
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...54263-9999.pdf

This implies that a module may not be going to sleep properly, causing battery drain/voltage problems.

Good day. I just recently experienced this issue, code P10E4. Changed vehicle battery (OEM battery in vehicle, ~7 years old), cleared code, returned after 3 starts.

Got a key FOB message yesterday, low battery/change battery. Left key FOB @ home, went to backup FOB and the P10E4 code cleared itself.

Will trend this and report back, FYI.

There's a lot of varying descriptions of this error code if you use google to search for it

But as it pertains to camaros.

A P10E4 code on a 2020 Camaro SS likely relates to an issue with the throttle actuator, specifically a problem with the "A" control motor circuit that results in the throttle not being in the expected position. Potential causes include a faulty accelerator pedal position sensor, a bad throttle position sensor, an issue with the throttle control motor itself, or problems with the powertrain control module (PCM) or wiring. You'll need a diagnostic tool to read the code, and a professional technician can properly diagnose the specific cause and perform the necessary repairs.

• P10E4

indicates a performance issue with the "A" control motor circuit of the throttle actuator, suggesting the throttle body isn't responding as expected.

• Throttle actuator

is the system that controls how much air enters the engine, dictating the car's speed and acceleration.

Common causes

• Faulty sensors: Problems with the accelerator pedal position sensor or the throttle position sensor can send incorrect signals.
• Bad throttle control motor: The motor that physically opens and closes the throttle body could be malfunctioning.
• Wiring issues: Corroded, broken, or loose wires in the throttle control circuit can disrupt communication.
• Powertrain Control Module (PCM) problems: In some cases, the PCM itself may be faulty or require a software update.

What to do

1. Use a diagnostic scan tool: A code reader is necessary to confirm the P10E4 code is present.
2. Inspect sensors and wiring: Look for any visible damage or loose connections in the throttle system and its sensors.
3. Seek professional diagnosis: A qualified technician can perform further tests to identify the exact component causing the issue and make the appropriate repairs.

TL/DR, can be triggered by ECU power supply instability, due to harness mods.

After a long troubleshoot which included a borderline high starter relay coil resistance, the last page of this thread confirmed that a Gen5DIY harness mod affected the ECU enough to trigger the code. Gen5DIY updated the harness and fixed it: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...=555032&page=4
