Intercooler or not?
As I'm educating myself on superchargers, is an intercooler a necessity? If not, is there an external cooler that is needed?
I'm looking at the Maggies and see where the intercooler is optional on some models. |

You want the intercooler kit. They shouldn't even offer it without imho.

Absolutely should get the intercooler, unless you plan on only running very low boost. It will comes with a heat exchanger that sits by the radiator as well as the internal intercooler bricks. Intercooling removes a bunch of the heat caused by compressing air, lowering charge temps. This denser air can make more power and significantly reduce the chance for detonation.
