Keep my ZL1 or go to a 2019 z06?

All: Need some opinions here. My dealer is calling me saying he can get me an awesome deal on a 2019 z06. I love my 2018 zl1 with the mamo ptb and rotofab, but I am thinking about it. Anyone have any obvious pros/cons for either? Thanks in advance.

The dealer just called me today and said they would give me 30k off of a 2019 z06 3lz with an a8 if I came down now to work out a deal. Said the dealership needed to sell a bunch of c7s by this weekend. I went down, but a buddy told me not to do it because of the transmission issues. I left. They also wouldnt let me test drive it again until we had a deal. Thoughts? What should I do?????

I have both. ZL1 any day of the week! More room, more comfort and the A10 is an engineering marvel. The A8 is shit!

Had the A8... now have the A10, there’s no comparison. Unless you’re going M7, I’d say keep the ZL1.

I mean one major con is going to be that you'll be taking a hit on the depreciation of the ZL1 for the trade in and you'll be paying the premium for the Z06. New for new, isn't it about a 30-40k difference in price? If you have the disposable income to do so, it's a BAD ASS car.

I would see if you could take one for a spin and see how you like it.

Keep it. The 2019 Z06 will take a huge resale hit when the C8's become available especially the 2021 Z06. Dealers know this which is why we're seeing huge discounts on C7's right now.

I have one of each, 7 speed in the Z06/ 6 speed in the ZL1. Both are awesome in their own way!

ditto. I have a manual 2016 cammed fbo Z06 and a manual zl1. both are amazing and have pro' s and con's.

That’s a tough question on a Camaro forum. I’m sure it depends on what forum your asking.
I just sold a Corvette for a ZLE so I would say keep the Camaro but a Z06 is a heck of a car. I’ve had a few over the years.

I would go back to a Z06, the only thing that I hated was when turning at slow speeds, having that god awful wheel binding that felt like I ran over a log or something. Wait another year and get the c8.

Yeah that’s tough man! I too sold my M7 C7 GS for the ZLE as I have another little dude to bring along.

The M6 on the ZLE is ten times better if you prefer rowing gears as I do. From what I have read the A10 is better than the A8 as well.

No question the C7 is a better looking car imho.

Flip a coin man but as others have said the C8 is right around the corner....

I still have a set of BC Forged wheels for sale in ZO6 sizing if you do!!!!!lol

With one exception, if the OP can get as much off of the Z06 as he has in depreciation, the difference would be a wash, the dealer did say he could make him a great deal.

Did they get the heat soak resolved in the Z06, that would be my only concern. Otherwise, the Z06 would be a nice trade.

I know! I pulled the cover off them the other day and was all DAMN should have gotten that finish for the ZLE!
