Defeat CEL for new exhaust without NPP
Hey guys, I'm putting the Corsa Extreme Cat-Back on a ZL1 1LE. When i unplug the NPP I hear it throws a CEL. Is there a plug i can plug into the NPP plugs to trick it into thinking the valves are still there?

Unplugging the NPP shouldn't throw a code. Wrap up the plugs well or heck I think someone sells blank plugs.

If the cat-back deletes the secondary cats you're probably getting a CEL from a leak at the drivers side cat connection. Pretty typical. I swapped to a non-npp axle-back, no CEL from that.

I've heard that pulling the AFM actuator on an SS with the A8 throws a CEL but not NPP. I pulled the NPP fuse on my 2SS and it didn't throw a CEL. If pulling the NPP throws a CEL on your car then you can unbolt the actuators from the exhaust, leave them connected to the wiring harness, and tie them up out of the way. That's how the SS A8 people avoid getting a CEL when they remove the AFM valves from their exhaust without a tune.
