Ultimate ZL1

Ok, this is kinda random, but you know what, screw it, I'll just throw it out there. I owned a 5th Gen ZL1, manual, absolutely loved it, then sold it to get a C6 ZR1 Corvette......loved it too, an absolute beast of a car......but always had heartstrings for the Z/28, so I sold the Vette and bought a 2015 Z/28, which I have now and absolutely love.

So I love the 6th Gen ZL1, but if it was me the ultimate would be a standard ZL1 coupe (for the Mag Ride suspension....also would be a manual since I'm a diehard manual guy) with ZL1/1LE wheels (because they are super badass and can support fatter tires) and SS 1LE rear spoiler (because I really love the simplicity of a basic spoiler). I don't suppose anybody on this forum actually has one like that? It's a long shot, but if anybody does I'd love to see pics.....thanks!

I'm actually considering removing the wing on my ZL1 1LE in favor of the SS 1LE spoiler. So, yes, I hear you. The ZLE wing is my least favorite part of the car. Every other aspect I absolutely love.

I luv the 1LE rims and stance too, it’s the spoiler that while cool just isn’t me unless on a track. A dovetail spoiler is my preferred look. If I had a ZL1 1LE and took off the spoiler, it’s be hung on the wall cause it’s still a work of art. Can’t go wrong if you keep the Z/28 (awesome car) or move to a ZL1 (awesomer car).

Would you mind sharing the full specs on your wheel and tire sizes, including the backspacing?

Thanks!!!!

Another wheel option is HRE flow forms. Relatively speaking they're reasonably priced and are the same size and offsets to fit perfectly on the ZL1. You'll drop about 7 lbs per corner over the stock wheels.

Here are my FF04s in their standard liquid metal color wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss. Another standard color is tarmac which is essentially black. If you're willing to spend a little more money there's a slew of custom colors to choose from.

As far as the spoiler, I'm in the camp that likes the stock spoiler and thinks it fits the car well. Just so you're aware, the stock spoiler does begin to provide downforce at speeds above 60 mph. Any change to the spoiler will disrupt the designed aero of the car. That may or may not be a big deal depending on your use of the car. However, it's something to consider.

I'm the opposite, from the 1LE the wing is the piece I want to add to my ZL1.
Which I'm sure I will....
If you sell reach out I'm sure there will be a lot of interest, me included.

Someone needs to make the 1LE wing that will support the rear view mirror camera and I am in.

I'm the opposite! I dig the wing and love to answer yes when people ask if the 1LE wing is stock. I like the look of even bigger wings on track cars. I'm smoking over the idea of getting the APR wing.

So obviously I'm thinking about getting a Gen 6 ZL1, hence my post, but I'm trying to replicate as close as possible my Z/28. You can see I added a sun visor on the rear window, which I think looks cool. Does anyone have one of those on their car?
