Need tire size help

I've ordered new mrr 755s for my 2ss and went with 19s (10x19,11x19) now I need some help

I would like ps4s

stock is
245/40-20 = 27.7x9.6
275/35-20 = 27.6x10.8

265/40-19 = 27.3x10.4
295/35-19 = 27.1x11.6

275/35-19 = 26.6x10.8
325/30-19 = 26.7x12.8

It's not going to be a track car so I'm not concerned with lateral traction just straight line traction

Car has a few mods and that's why I was wanting more width but I understand too wide can actually be a negative because of surface area spreading out the weight giving less pressure pushing on the pavement. Also when dia. drops so does forward traction.

2nd option. But it will increase the wheel well gap slightly.

Can you elaborate why?

I also added the stock sizes and added the tire widths to the original post

The second option is slightly shorter than stock which will give a bit more gap between tire and fender due to a decrease in tire height.

I would consider a 305/35/19 Nitto NT05. The hieght is close to stock and about 1.5” wider.

A shorter tire will decrease top end but will allow for quicker acceleration (mute point if you can’t grip). I prefer staying as tall as stock but as wide as possible.

Looks like Option 2 became Option 3.
Sizing for Option 3 works. Wider and slightly smaller diameter.
I ran 275/35/19 square on 9.5" wide FS01's.
Car felt great and nimble. No issues with any of the nannies.
Going to slightly wider wheels would need slightly wider tire obviously.

I agree a 305/35 would be perfect but nitto doesnt have a front tire that would match it. The closest is a 255 and I think that would be way to skinny for a 10" rim

I will add that I do drive the car almost daily (30 mile round trip) and do 500 mile trips almost once a month. Id love a drag radial for the back but with as much as I travel I think ill have to compromise the optimal grip for better wear

If you daily drive the first thing to do is go square setup so you can rotate

the best setup imo is 285 35 on a 19 or 20 by 10"

Yup, over thinking it.

But PS4S are the best summer tire you can get.

Front wheel 10" = 285
Rear wheel 11" = 305

Those are the ideal widths for the wheel widths you mentioned.
The sidewall aspect ratio will be 35 or 40.
- I'm sure there's a calculator you can use

Question

Just wanted to update this for any future searches for people. Went with ps4s in 275/35r19 with a 10x19 et 23
325/30r19 with a 11x19 et 43

I haven't crawled under to visually see how close things are in the rear but just feeling with my hands there is a surprising amount of clearance still.

The sidewalls of the rears poke just a hair past the fender but the tread at the top of the tire is completely in the fender

MRR wheels

That is quite a gap, does this mean lowering springs needed? I just bought new wheels and was considering MRR M600's but found SVE GT7's the same design & weight in 19x10 @25lbs. A much better price, on sale @LMR. MRR M600 were $250 plus. It's pays to "Do it right the 1st. time and shop for the best price.
