I've got 8000 miles on mine with no issues. It's from Casper Electronics.

Install is a major PITA especially for people with large hands. But no issues whatsoever after 5000 miles.

Yeah first one was rough. But the last 2 were cake. I handed them to the tech doing the first oil change and said, "Here, install this while it's up there on the lift." But my dealer is super mod friendly.

Just out of morbid curiosity, what happens if you just unplug the wiring connector to the CAGS solenoid and don't install a skip-shift eliminator resistor? IOW, what if you just leave the thing unplugged for free? This is another way of asking what benefit does the skip-shift eliminator gadget actually provide?

With an eliminator installed, do you still get the notification on the dash about the 1-4 shift?

Yes, the DIC will still show the 1-4 Shift message. I just ignore it.

Thanks, I'm trying to figure out of the previous owner had one installed. I get the message, but it doesn't seem to ever force me into 4th. Is there a telltale if I have up in the air?
