so my buddy has a 2017 zl1, hes got the borla atak cat back system part number 140727 and is thinking of swapping back to stock and selling it to me for my car. I have a ss 1le and thats stock and im wondering if I can fit the system onto my car with or without any issues.

Yes, specially since you have a 1LE you don't have to worry about AFM valves.

It should fit 100%.

The only thing is that Borla makes X pipes and axle-back for the SS in the diameter as the stock piping (2.75")

The one you mentioned above is a 3"

so because of the size difference in pipe would that make a huge difference in fitment? and any other things such as sound compared to their ss line?

Did he tell you why he's getting rid of it?

It should fit without any issues on the 1LE.
