Track Vs Sport Mode.
17 SS 6 speed here. I keep mine in sport mode 100% of the time because I find the low end response or response in general to be better in Sport than track mode. Does anyone else notice that? Track mode just has a louder exhaust tighter suspension and steering. I see no benefit in actual track mode engine response. Is this a factory retune issue if I were to pursue it?

My 1LE has more rev hang in sport than track, lift off throttle in track and decel is instant.

I find throttle response in track is much stronger than in sport.
I do keep my steering in sport at all times though, i like the weighting best there.

Interesting. I notice no difference with rev. hang between the two. The throttle mapping is more progressive in track mode.

![]() The Exhaust note is no different in Sport or Track. In both the Valves are open. If you pull the fuse, you will have a louder startup and cold idle. Track mode has a progressive throttle tune which isn't nearly as "jerky" and has other specs active that sport mode does not. You can easily change this in the mylink menu. Do a custom setup with you're preferred handling, suspension and exhaust note. I leave my 1LE in sport mode for the more aggressive throttle map for DD with all my settings in track mode and my exhaust fuse pulled. There is a thread on this forum that tells you exactly what each mode brings to the table. The four mains and the 5 hidden. I believe it also tells you in the owners manual. |

What does the fuse pull do exactly?

and PTM modes that you can't get in sport mode and that are the e-diff. settings. There are 4 E-diff. modes and they are not accessible to change. The e-diff mode is different in the Track & PTM modes than it is in Sport mode. It is for this reason that when I am pushing the car around corners, I always use the PTM modes within Track mode even though I like the sport mode throttle mapping better. The e-diff is optimized for stability in Sport mode, while the emphasis in Track mode and the PTM settings within track mode are optimized for cornering.

I find the first half of track mode not as responsive as sport say like 1500-3500 not as punchy as sport...

kills the power going to the exhaust valves defaulting them to the fully open state all the time. Even in track mode the stock settings will close the valves at certain rpm levels to pass sound checks. pulling the fuse gets around that

My findings are the same as yours Mack Steel on my 16 6 speed SS. I did pull the fuse so the exhaust would stay open. Track mode acceleration response seems to be just a tad slower than in Sport mode. Also I have my exhaust set to track mode in the settings.

So will the fuse pull actually effect performance/response in Sport and track mode. Or is it just an exhaust sound change?

It doesn’t affect the performance only the sound!

Do you have the name of the thread or a link? Wouldn't mind familiarizing myself a little more. Mostly for the hidden modes
