Aerospace front brake kit review
I haven’t driven it yet so this is a little premature.
I got the aerospace front street(vented rotors) kit and some stainless lines from gpi. The bad. Right off the bat aerospace shorted me a couple of spacers, grrr. Then 3 out of 4 of the caliper bracket holes needed tapped out to get the bolts started. There was an obstruction that you can see in the pics. 3/8-24 tap. The good. Nearly 24 freaking lbs per corner. They told be 40lbs saved total so this is more than advertised. Nearly 48lbs total off the front. Also the caliper bracket lines up perfect for adding a front speed sensor that I want to install. I will update when I have more info.

Any weight savings using the V6/4 banger front brakes over the cost of their kit?

Same issues i had! Pita during the install. They didnt short me spacers but the spacers were short. Had to add washers to center the caliper over rotor. I got the front drag brake kit though. Didnt realize how much thinner the rotor was going to be compared to the pro street rotor you have but everything seems to be working fine

I got them completely installed last night minus the spacers. Didn’t run into any other issues. Hopefully they get the spacers out fast. We have some decent weather right now so I could be out driving.

There is a perfect place to mount a front speed sensor on this kit.

I called them about the missing spacers. They are sending them to me. Be here in ~3 days. I tried to get them to send them quicker but they refused. Pfft.

Its a really nice product. Tightening the brake lines feel dicey and they may leak so you'll have to recheck your work. Also, use the proper bedding procedure for the pads and they will feel almost like the stockers.
They are almost zero drag so the down side is the pads may rattle some in the caliper when the brakes aren't applied. Centrifugal force is also greatly reduced so with the front skinnies on, turning at speed is like butter. You'll love em.

What is the proper bleeding procedure? I just did a vacuum bleed till I got fluid and then let them gravity bleed for awhile. Also bumped the caliper with a rubber mallet to release the bubbles.

Just so their is no confusion, I typed bedding procedure for the pads for proper break in. I only gravity bled mine but both Brandon, Pete and myself had to re tighten the fittings because they leaked initially. I guess we didn't want to wrench too hard on them and strip the fittings.

Ahh, bedding, not bleeding. I didn’t get that far yet. Do the included instructions cover the proper bedding procedure?

so much for 3 days. I called on Monday at 8am and here it is Friday and no spacers. I am a little pissed. I have a pile of work that I did to my car that is ready for testing and the roads are clear. by the time I get these the roads will be a mess again.
