Depends on the size...if you want 2" get Kooks(fit better), 1 7/8 save some money and get TSP. Some have had good luck with TSP 2" fitment, many have had to modify to make clearance.

1-7/8 are good for over 800hp, proved this on the dyno.

Kook's all the way! No modification needed no matter the size you want to go. ARH is our number 1 choice but if your on a budget Kooks is a solid set up. We also have really good pricing on Kooks so if you have a set in mind i can send you a quote .

Cheers,

Get the 2” the first time and be done with it. Just because you could make 800whp on a given setup, does not mean it’s the most advantageous way of doing so, nor the most efficient. You never know where your modification road will take you and I know that personally, I don’t like to buy the same modification twice. On top of that, the price should be the same if not an incredibly nominal difference. Do it once and don’t look back.

You really can't beat Kooks for quality but TSP value is the best out there. We have installed plenty of both and really can't complain either way. The only thing I don't like about the TSP is they don't bungs for the rear o2 sensors. We generally tune them out anyway but when you go to tune your car you need a bung installed for a wideband sensor for tuning. We carry a bunch of options and they are almost always on sale with code CAMARO6. The nice thing about Texas Speed is they offer a system that goes to the rear axle with a full 3" Xpipe. Stainless Works systems are also like this and we recommend you take a look at those as well.

If your not planing on making over 800hp you will be leaving h.p. on the table with a 2" primary header. If over 800hp then yes a 2" is the way to go.

No I don't have headers on my 6th gen. I just did the CA delete pipes. Guys have been in the 9's with the stock exhaust. I am not sold that these cars even need LTH. I did have Kooks 1 7/8 with Kooks exhaust on my 4th gen and they were nice. if I ever do headers, I would probably do TSP 1 7/8. The issue I have with LTH on these cars is heat. You will need to ceramic coat them also wouldn't be a bad idea to wrap them along with the starter.

Bought my TSP 1 7/8 headers on a black Friday deal for 515 shipped. Buddy and I installed them with 0 issues, didn't have to use the supplied steering shaft bolt for clearance either. I went with the cattless longtubes, and with the connection pipes we welded them right back to the factory exhaust. Quality and fitment were top notch!

Did you have to do any tune or get a CEL?

I deleted the rear o2 sensors so it would have had a CEL. We tuned it with HPtuners after the install, no issues after the tune.
