Aftermarket NPP Dual Exhaust, Fuse Pull, and Possible Exhaust Valve Removal

2018 2SS with Flowmaster American thunder 817746 and K&N Blackhawk cold air intake.

Recently, my Flowmaster exhaust valves began to squeak when opening and closing. So, I pulled the fuse and solved the problem for now.

Has anyone else pulled the fuse on their aftermarket dual mode npp exhaust system? If so, any problems?

My other question is now with the fuse pulled, has anyone's exhaust valves loosened to the point of hearing a rattle? I'm wondering how easy it would be to just remove the exhaust valves on each side? It just seems like a big chore to return the entire exhaust system and replace it with a new one. Odds favor the same thing will happen again down the road.

Just looking for options if I develop a rattle with the valves always open.

So what fuse did you pull for the NPP valves?
Also did it give you a CEL?

Fuse 51. I followed a combination of a you-tube video and my manual. Worked great. I verified it by switching the engine driving configuration to stealth, tour, etc., and nothing happened. No more squeaks and rattle, and most importantly, no CEL. Let me know if you need the video; I will give you the link.

I'm still wondering what to do if the valve begins to rattle in the fully open position. It's not worth taking the whole exhaust off, sending it back to them for confirmation, and then getting a new one.

Can you completely remove the NPP valves with aftermarket exhaust, remove the fuse & still not get a CEL without a tune?

I believe you can without getting a CEL.
Check out the thread: Flowmaster super 10's, removed the NPP.
Just don't remove the AFM valves or the AFM valve fuse. That triggers a CEL.
What type of exhaust system do you currently have on your car?

Yes for NPP (fuse 51), no for AFM. Only Autos have the AFM valves.
