Tuning out AFM & Cat Deletes

Hey guys! To keep it short and sweet - My midpipe removes the AFM and the secondary cats. My boy has HP Tuners with credits. Can I install the midpipe and just turn off the AFM light and Check Engine Light via HP Tuners that will arise? Will I need to actually tune the car so the a/f ratio is good? Holding on to my warranty for 1 more week if this works

You can just turn the lights off but the car will need a tune to adjust for the new parts. It will run ok without a tune just be a little rich.

You can turn off AFM valves in the FSCM controller via HPtuners. Shouldn't need to do anything else.

Can you specify where? Have you done this? I see that HPT shows a red brickable text.

Any other info on HP Tuners would be awesome.

He's talking about mid-pipes... not headers. No AF tuning necessary.

AFM is a simple off switch.

I used to do mine like this guy did... gear by gear.

I didn't catch that, I thought he was referring to doing headers and cat delete. Disregard my post about tuning, it isn't needed.

My question was in reference to removing afm valves and tuning them out so no check engine light. I guess this should be in the tuning section. Turning of dod in hpt is just a click to disable but afm valves and cel is not that simple. I actually reconnected afm modules and zip tied up. All codes and cel reset and no more cel.

Yes I have done this...and yes you can brick the FSCM if you flash the wrong file is all that means. It's located in the active exhaust section under the systems tab.

Couple tips.

-Read your FSCM and save it...that way you can revert back to stock. Don't try and flash a 2015 Z28 file you found on HPtuners.

-Then you can license it for 50.00 and make adjustments to the fuel and exhaust system, such as raise fuel pump voltage for the intank, adjust the open and close function of the NPP exhaust valves, and turn off/on AFM valves.

Thanks for the information. I do have a read of the fscm and I have it licensed. I do see the afm disable tab. Do I need to uncheck dtc fields also? Is in tank voltage in the same area?

Need help finding the right part

I have a 2017 SS Camaro. I have installed a custom Cat/back exhaust system and have removed the atf exhaust valves. I would like to know how and where to purchase the connectable EFI tuners so my check engine light will go off. I would also like a recommendation on deleting the AFM system so I run on 8 cylinders only. Any help would be appreciated.
