ZL1=SS 1LE suspension?

Does the standard ZL1 have the same suspension and brakes as the SS 1LE? If not, what is the difference and is the SS 1LE a better handling car or the same? Thanks!

1. Both have mag ride, but likely different software for them as the cars are different weights. Not sure about sways.
2. ZL1 has bigger brakes
3. Define better hading. ZL1 puts up faster lap times....but the lighter SS 1LE might feel like it handles better in the turns, while losing ground in the straighter sectors.

The SS 1LE has slightly lateral Gs and is lighter, but it won’t make up for the deficit of power. The SS 1LE is essentially the ZL-1 chassis tune, but there are some differences due to the difference in weight.

there are different part numbers for quite a bit of the suspension. this either means some of the bushings are different, or the parts are fundamentally different.

the brakes or for sure different, both by numbers and size.

if you were to get zl1 suspension parts, you'd be paying more, and you'd be getting some different parts, but others is a guess. nobody has confirmed if the parts are indeed different or just have different numbers.

Actually, not true. The part numbers are almost all the same. The part numbers have been listed in another thread on the suspension section.

The bushings, arms, MRC are all the same. The only differences would be to account for the weight difference with sway bar and MRC calibrations.

Obviously the spring rates will be different. I have no clue what they are though. Anytime you add 200 or so pounds of super charger up front, you have to account for that.

As I stated before, the only differences between the 2 are to account for the weight differences. Most of the components (arms, bushings, ETC.) are the same.

I wasn't clear. I see that now that I re-read what I typed. I meant the numbers are different for the suspension over all the different versions (fea, fe4, fe3, etc). I got my information for my kit from that thread and others that have contributed to it, I just congregated it down to my needs and car specifically (2ss a8)

SS 1LE corners and brakes slightly harder. ZL1 accelerates much faster.

Same driver 1LE can outperform on autox. Track not so much. From experience. Seen it happen.
