2SS vs. ZL1 Muffler

Hello everyone,

I have a question

I have a 2018 2SS with NPP.

Now I have an original 2017 ZL1 NPP muffler lying here.
Is the muffler the same as the 2SS?

I'm thinking about mounting.
That the tailpipes are bigger at the ZL1 Muffler I know.

I would like to know if there are sound differences.

in advance.

sound is the same. Internals of the muffler are the same. The only difference is the bigger outlet tips.

Why do you think they go to the trouble of making different size outlet tips? Its just the chrome tips are bigger correct? I know there is 30% more power but I'm surprised to hear that there are so many custom ZL1 parts, like the air intake and other stuff.

The bigger tips are to differentiate SS and ZL1.

The muffler is bypass mode is very efficient but needed to meet Noise standards....

I don't think the air intake (airbox and plumbing into the throttle body) are any different between the SS and ZL1.

Yeah you may be right, I thought I just saw that they were somewhere.
