REV Match??

What current sports cars offer REV match?? I have to say that this is an amazing feature on the 1LE SS using the 6 speed. What did we do before auto REV match? When did this feature show up on GM sports cars? Love my 1LE!

Also any tech documents on how this works in our Camaro's? To bad, they do not offer REV match on the 4 cyl turbo and the V6.

I know of Cadillac V-models, C7 Corvette (first GM model as far as I know), Mustang GT PP & Bullitt, some BMWs...

Before it, obviously, we did it manually as best we could - for most if not all of us, not nearly as consistently well as the computer can!

before = heel toe shifting. which is also why performance cars have flat bottom steering wheels.

nissan 350z has rev match, im sure there are others.

Yes, it is very well executed on the Camaro SS. Very smooth, responsive and predictable. Love using it.

Now.. How about a way for it to default to enabled whenever we start the car? I used to have an aftermarket box that turned my traction control off everytime I started my 2000 T/A back years ago. Can't believe someone hasn't made that yet in the aftermarket.

many have same question and desire to have it on without having to engage it each drive, ssems like a no brainer but my understanding from members here, yes just hearsay, but its that GM avoided possible patent infringement on Nissan by making it this way.

Learn to do the double tap on the throttle.... Sounds better than just the one rev, lol.

I've never been able to properly heel & toe shift... Not enough room for my feet... If I need brake and throttle at the same time, I just put my foot between the pedals and tilt it to the right for more throttle, lol.

If you take shifter into neutral gate and pull it left twice quickly, then you get a double blip, most of the time. The throttle on these cars is strange sometimes the revs hang and you don't get that nice quick blip of the throttle and exhaust note.

It's just a habit issue - it would be nice not to have to remember each time and would be nice if we could just leave it on, but yes, it's not hard to activate.

Of course it's not difficult, I just would like it to stay on or to turn on automatically. Would you be happy if the radio would turn on to AM every time you started the car?

The rev match feature is controlled by the BCM, that is why there isnt a way to make it default to on at start up and never will be able to. There are only a couple of people that I know of that know the BCM coding and how to program them, as of yet that knowledge is not being shared with anyone.
