Newbie post: ok to skip gear on downshift?

New ZL1 1LE owner and stoked for first track day in the car! Thoughts on if it’s ok to completely skip gear on downshift (I.e. 5 to 3, 4 to 2)? Using rev match, not a heel toe purist... thx!

I ont know anything about the rev match but skipping gears in a manual is why you buy them. This allows you to go into a corner at 120 and then shift into 2nd to pull out of it. Pretty sure rev match will just help you do this better.

Haven't tracked my SS but I use the Rev match always! Works flawless to match rpm, so yes you can pick and choose any gear, with in reason
